Vision & Mission


To support street-working and war-affected children in Afghanistan, who are vulnerable and disadvantaged, and help to improve their quality of life.

To help the children and their families combat poverty by providing the means to better their future.

To improve the social, economic, physical, cultural and mental situation of vulnerable groups of children, and focus on basic education.

To support the children and their families, financially and emotionally throughout, and teach them essential life skills.



Aschiana’s vision is to reduce the number of street-working children in Kabul, Mazar-e-Sharif, Jalalabad, Gardiz, Herat, Kandahar, and Bamyan to ¼ over the next 10 years. All these are cities are in different provinces of Afghanistan and majority of the Internally Displaced Persons, returnees and other deprived groups live in these locations in informal settlements or temporary camps.
